The Environmental Awareness Act

Also known as R.A. 9512, has a main objective to increase awareness of everyone in the preservation of the environment.

Various sectors in the government are tested to integrate education on the environment at all needs of learning in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and other relevant government agencies.

Environmental education must be included in the curriculum of both public and private sectors, such as barangay daycare, preschool, non-formal, technical-vocational, professional level, indigenous learning, and even on the out-of-school youth programs. Furthermore, the curricula, courses, and programs must include the following topics.
